Start Defender is a CAN-based starting circuit interrupt system for your 2018 – 2023 Dodge Challenger and Charger. The system is designed as a theft deterrent device that allows the vehicle owner to have two-factor authentication for their vehicle's starting circuit.

Can be self-installed or by a mechanic. No special tools, no harness damage, and it uses native CAN messaging and does not damage or alter any OE systems. The two-factor authentication is achieved through a button sequence of the owner's choosing and utilizes all available buttons on both sides of the steering wheel. Start Defender has its own private encrypted Wi-Fi network with a website for device management and setup.

The system can easily be enabled and disabled for car washes, valet, dealer service, and other activities where the owner cannot enter the button sequence. Also, Start Defender allows sirens or other warning devices to be connected and controlled as part of the system.
